Welcome to the U.S. International Moth Site
The thoughts of the whole Moth community are with the family and friends of Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson who died yesterday in SF Bay. Andrew wasn’t a Moth sailor but we all share a love of our sport and respect for the risks. We were so much looking forward to the spectacle of this America’s Cup and mixing with the AC Mothies who are coming to Hawaii after the event. From the bottom of our hearts we hope there is no more tragedy involved. R.I.P. Andrew.
The NA results are in!
2-3 Mach 2 try outs:
OK we now have some dates for the SoCal Mach 2 try out days. These will be held at ABYC Long Beach. The short sessions are intended for people who have never foiled before and are interested in getting a Moth. We sail inside the bay which is small but just big enough. There will be a mix of kids from the ABYC youth squad and people who contact me from here. We will use my personal boat, a brand new Mach 2. To request a slot on one of the dates below please email me: simonATcontextamericaDOTcom
Dates: 9th Feb / 30th March / 27th April / 18th May
From the 2013 Oz National Championship won by a Kiwi – Congratulations Pete Burling haha
From the 2012 Moth World Championship at Lake Garda Italy
And a neat technical tour of the boat by ace designer of the Mach 2 and before that the Bladerider, Amac
Ok so now you know we have awesome boats but terrible taste in music. Standby for more updates, links, events and news over the next week. We’re back online and it’s not going to be dull. Back me or sack me. Oh and a big thanks to SailingAnarchy for supporting us so loyally while we briefed Executive Search to hire our new webmaster. There’s a piece on Ant Kotoun’s winter series in Charlston on SA right now.
PS: we love Sabots. Great boats and lovely people. And Oppies too
